The theme of this year’s symposium, “Industry and the Environment,” speaks to a topic that is relevant and significant in both a historical perspective and to the current community. We have a wide variety of presenters and papers to discuss the history of industry in southwestern Ontario, historical perspectives concerning the local environment, both built and natural, and especially the intersections, dynamics and conflicts between industry and the environment in this area. Paper sessions, refreshments, lunch and historical walking tours are included with your registration.
To register in advance please see the City of Cambridge website at: http://www.cambridge.ca/city_clerk/city_archives/history_on_the_grand_local_history_symposium or Jim Quantrell at the City of Cambridge Archives, Clerk’s Division, 2nd Floor, Cambridge City Hall, 50 Dickson Street.
